He nodded.
“Are you mad?”
“Yes.”

“I’m also trying very hard not to be only mad.”
He glanced at me.
I asked, “What time is his flight?”
Noah blinked.
“Eleven-forty in the morning.”
“On Monday?”
“Yeah.”
I looked at Mark.
He sighed. “We can drive them.”
I said, “Yes, we’ll take them to the airport.”
“You don’t have to.”
“We know.”
Then I added, “You are still cleaning every inch of that garden.”
He nodded so fast I almost laughed. “Thank you.”

“And Chloe? Please, don’t blame her.”
“I don’t.”
